God’s plan for mankind has always been great. In Genesis 1:26, He said, let us make man in Our image and likeness: and let them have dominion…”. The Amplified Bible puts it this way, “Let Us make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority….” God’s plan for man is total dominion over everything He has created.
Aside the physical resources, man also had dominion in the realm of the spirit after receiving the breath or spirit of life from God. So man was created to live above any form of satanic oppression including lack and sickness; not having need for any miracle. With supernatural wisdom, Adam named all the creatures God brought to him, showing the creative ability of God.
In the order of creation, every seed brings forth its own kind. The breath from God gave man the qualities of God making him god (Psalm 82:6).
“I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.”
Man lost this dominion status after Adam and Eve disobeyed God and were punished as described in Genesis 3:16-19.
“16. Unto the woman He said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shall bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. 17. And unto Adam He said, because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, thou shall not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shall thou eat of it all the days of thy life……19 In the sweat of thy face shall thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it was thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shall thou return.“
This marked the beginning of the loss of complete authority over the fullness of the earth for man. I could picture the initial dominion status where man could have food and every other supplies available in excess without having to exert any physical energy (Genesis 1:11-12). Satanic oppression began to manifest in the affairs of man because of the enmity created and death began to reign (Gen 2:17).
These punishments eroded man’s peaceful existence and evil became part of life on earth, however, God still wants man to live in line with His plan. God’s plan for your life is His decision about what He is going to do in your life as you decide to embrace and walk with Him. He said in Jeremiah 29:11:
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
God honors His word more than His name (Psalm 138:2); so every plan He has for you must surely come to pass no matter the nature of oppression you are going through. You need to discover God’s plan for you to enjoy life and He is the only one who can reveal such plan to you – Psalm 25:14.
“The secret of the Lord is with them that fear Him; and He will shew them His covenant.”
To restore man to His dignity, God gave a sacrificial seed by offering Jesus Christ to pay the reconciliation price, making Him the only Way for man to achieve God’s plan. Many are yet to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior and so many are yet to discover and live in line with God’s plan for their lives, thereby living in confusion and total subjection to satanic forces.
God’s plan or thoughts for man cannot be numbered, however, we will look at God’s plan of salvation, fruitfulness, dominion, peace, prosperity, divine health and joy for your life.
Before we begin to explore these thoughts of God for your life, you need to decide now to follow Jesus, if you are yet to do so. You can say this prayer of salvation.
