God’s Plan for Your Life: Salvation II

God’s plan of salvation for man is wrapped up in the seven-fold redemptive package. We will now unravel this package.

Power:

In John 1:12, the Bible says, “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” Accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior ushers one to a position of power. You begin to operate in the capacity of God’s children, enjoying every inheritance as joint heirs with Christ and reigning as kings and priests (Rev 1:6).

Power belongs to God as the Psalmist stated, “God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this, that power belongeth to God (Psalm 62:11). In Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. If Christ abides in you, every quality of the Godhead manifests in your life. Without Christ one cannot operate with power. In John 15:5 the Bibles says,

I am the vine, ye are the branches, He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”

Supernatural power guarantees one’s exploits in life triumphing over satan and his agents. You tread on serpents and overcome every power of the enemy.

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19)

Riches:

Paul wrote in his second epistle to the church in Corinth that Christ became poor so those who accept Him and walk in His principles will be rich. Christ suffered all the lack and want so you and I can enjoy supernatural abundance in all ramifications; rich spiritually, physically and materially.

“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes, he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9

The Bible says the earth and the fullness thereof belong to God (Psalm 24:1). It is further highlighted in Haggai 2:8 that the gold and silver belong to God. Every son and daughter of God enjoys all-round ceaseless riches so long as the connection with Christ is maintained. You cannot have the Good Shepherd as your Father and lack the good things of life.

Supernatural supply is the heritage of every child of God. The same way God brought the Israelites out of Egypt with silver and gold, one major blessing that accompanies salvation is material and financial wealth. Emptiness and lack comes to an end as you begin to live in divine provision thereby becoming a lender to many nations and not a borrower.

Wisdom:

Wisdom is one of the valuable assets every child of God should long for and possess. The Bible admonishes every child of God to get wisdom because it is the principal thing to take us to greater heights in life (Proverbs 4:7a)

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom…”

There are different kinds of wisdom; these include natural wisdom, sensual wisdom, diabolic wisdom and supernatural wisdom. It is important to identify your source of wisdom because not all wisdom come from above as highlighted in James 3:15, “this wisdom descends not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.” Wisdom that is not from above can be futile (1 Cor. 2:6-7).

“Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of the world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto glory.”

Our focus will be on supernatural wisdom which is wisdom from God. In Isaiah 11:2, we are made to understand that wisdom is one of the seven spirits of God poured on Jesus. That is why anyone who walks with Jesus can tap from this divine wisdom.

Christ manifested divine wisdom during His ministry on earth. He knew what to do to perform miracles, signs and wonders. A case in point was the multiplication of five loaves of bread and two fishes to feed 5000 men (John 6:6).

Wisdom is the correct application of what is known. It is applying what you know with instant proofs. Divine wisdom is manifested in unexplainable creativity. By wisdom, God created the earth, which was in the beginning was without form and void of any existence.

“The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath He established the heavens.” Proverbs 3:19

Divine wisdom establishes a child of God in the realm of creativity proffering solutions to societal problems. With this wisdom you enjoy all round supplies including material possession, peace and health. Happy is the man or woman that finds divine wisdom (Proverbs 3:13a).

You can get divine wisdom by asking God in prayers as well as studying and meditating on His word.

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” James 1:5

“O how I love the law! It is my meditation all the day. Thou through the commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.Psalms 119:98

In the next article, we will look at strength, honor, glory and blessing components of the redemptive package.
