I discussed the meaning of health and the source of divine health in the first part of this message. I will now discuss the source of disease and sickness and how one can walk in divine health.
Source of Disease and Sickness
In my concluding statement of Part 1 of this message, I said that sickness is from satan and his cohorts. God cannot punish His children with sickness. The Bible says “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”(James 1:17) Divine health is a gift from God to His children. Disease and sickness are satanic oppression but God has assured His children that they shall be far from oppression.
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38
“….For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8b
“In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.” Isaiah 54:14
Satan has a three-fold ministry of killing, stealing and destroying God’s health plan for you but Jesus manifested and He is still manifesting to destroy his works. A vivid example is satan’s injection of Corona Virus (COVID-19) into the world from late 2019 till date crippling the entire world’s systems. The lock down in many nations across the world has caused some Christians to backslide. Thanks be to God for building His church and not allowing the gate of hell to prevail. Thanks be to God because His church cannot be locked down and people have begun to engage in their daily businesses.
God has intervened and has rescued the entire world from the COVID-19 pandemic. In the same vein, over 2000 years ago, God anointed Jesus to heal all that were oppressed of the devil. The woman with the spirit of infirmity is a case in point from the scriptures (Luke 13:10-17). In verse 16 of this passage, Jesus stated that the woman was bound by satan for 18 years.
“….So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?” NKJV
There is someone reading this message who is under satanic bondage, standing on the authority of the written word of God that whatsoever I shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven, I decree your total liberation in the name of Jesus Christ.
Aside satanic influence, you can also invite disease and sickness as a result of your lifestyle. Sickness can have dominion over you via your thoughts, actions and inactions. You will agree with me that negative thoughts have caused many to be depressed and sometimes commit suicide. Many people are sick because of uncontrolled anxiety. You can learn about effects of worry from one of our massages here. Further, many people are sick because of what they eat and drink despite warnings from nutrition and health professionals. So many diseases are transmitted through sexual relations. You can as well decide not to keep fit by not engaging in any form of exercise.
How to be in Health
It is very possible to live in divine health. You may be going through tough times moving from one hospital to the other as the woman who suffered from the issue of blood for 12 years in the scriptures. Your day of healing is here.
I have testified on several occasions how I prayed to God to end my life because I could no longer bear the frequent asthmatic attacks as a teenager. I am sure if God had answered my prayer, you would not be reading this message now. I observed that as soon as a new moon appears, I will experience asthmatic attack that is better imagined. I took all manner of drugs and herbs to no avail until God intervened. Today, I have lived for about four decades without any inhaler. You are next in line for a healing miracle in the name of Jesus Christ. However, take note of the following keys if you desire to walk in divine health.
Be in God’s Family
The Bible says healing is the bread for God’s children (Matthew 15:22-28). As a child of God, you belong to God’s family and you are entitled to all the redemptive rights including divine health.
To become a member of God’s family, you need to open your heart for Jesus to come in. Receive and confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior (John 1:12).
“But as many as received him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name..”
Take a step further by forsaking anything ungodly or sinful. Jesus loves you, but hates seeing sin in you. The reason you need to forsake your sinful lifestyle is that many people are afflicted by satan because of their foolish acts and iniquity. Thanks be to God for sending Jesus Christ – His word to deliver those engrossed in foolish acts (Psalms 107:17-20).
“Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted….. He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”
To receive Jesus into your heart and allow the Holy Spirit to take over your life, say this prayer of salvation.
