The Great Exchange

Sunday Omori

Each day comes with a lot of business activities. While some businesses require exchange of material valuables, others involve emotional and spiritual qualities. Every individual engages in one or more transactions to meet daily basic needs. Parties engaged in exchange of goods and services may end up being satisfied or dissatisfied.

The good news is that doing business with God guarantees utmost satisfaction because God’s products and services cannot be compared to natural ones. They are invaluable, life transforming and eternal. God desires that humankind exchange products and services with Him through Jesus Christ. He is open to doing business with anyone who decides to come to Him.

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.” (Titus 2:11)

One unique thing about doing business with God is that He receives the unwanted issues in the life of anyone who welcomes Him and gives unquantifiable inheritance in Christ.

“In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will.” (Eph. 1:11)

He is always faithful to receive unwanted issues from His business partners – taking away sin to give His righteousness; taking darkness to give light; taking death in exchange of abundant and eternal life; taking sickness and disease to give divine health and taking poverty to give riches.

God gives a believer His righteousness and bears his/her blames through Jesus’ blood covenant and all He needs is a believing heart. Many have failed to believe in Him thereby missing this precious gift and the attendant blessings.

“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:10)

“For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

“For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.” (Psalms 5:12)

God takes darkness away from a believer to make him/her the light of the world. So every department of a believer’s life is illuminated by the light God gives.

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9)

Those who are dead spiritually receive eternal life when they decide to embrace God. This life is enjoyed on earth and forever on the new earth.

“And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses.” (Colossians 2:13)

God is in the business of taking up our sickness and disease in exchange of divine health – He is the Great Physician and does not refer any case. Jesus was beaten and wounded so that sickness will not have dominion over a believer.

“That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.” (Matthew 8:17)

“Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)

Out of His abundant wealth as Jehovah Elshadai, God gives a believer riches and takes away poverty – For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich (2 Corinthians 8:9).

Hallelujah! What a wonderful business partner God is. It takes faith to hand over to God any unwanted issue in one’s life. If you are yet to engage in this great exchange with God, you need to do so by receiving Jesus Christ into your heart. Say this prayer: Lord Jesus, I receive You as my Lord and Saviour; I believe that You came and died for me and God raised You to save me. Come into my heart and conform me to Your likeness. I declare that I am born again. Amen!
