We love God when we:
L – learn of Him;
O – obey His commandments;
V – voluntarily serve Him and
E – enter into His gates and courts continually.
Let us look at some benefits of loving God.
Glorification
God glorifies any individual who believes in Jesus Christ and walks with Him. This glory is God’s awesome presence and is released to those who accept and love Him wholeheartedly. It attracts favor and makes the believer to impact lives positively.
“Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. (Romans 8:30)
“For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.” (Isaiah 60:2-3)
Access to Revelation
Those who seek God will definitely find Him. God reveals Himself to people in different ways and He reveals the mysteries of His Kingdom to those who fear and love Him.
“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13)
“..Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.” (1st Corinthians 2:9 – 10)
Spiritual and Material Blessings
The same way God blessed king Solomon of old, He does not withhold spiritual and material blessings from those who love Him. By the power of the Holy Spirit, He releases ideas and wisdom for wealth and prosperity. Just remember to love Him to receive yours.
“But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God; for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth..” (Deuteronomy 8:18)
Victory in Battles
God reveals Himself as Jehovah Nissi – God reigns in victory. God showed up for Jehoshaphat, Paul, Silas, David, to name but a few. He will grant you supernatural victory if you love Him.
“Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children.” (Isaiah 49:24 – 45)
Answers to Prayers
There are believers who receive speedy answers to their prayer while they are yet thinking about it or before they speak. Do you want to fall in that category of believers? Love God.
“Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.” (Jeremiah 29:12)
“And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” (Isaiah 65:24)
